Betty Lund, age 97, of Friendship, WI, passed away May 14th, 2023. At the Villa Pines Living Center in Friendship, Wisconsin.

She will be cremated with no visitation.  Roseberry Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Betty was born July 5th, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois to Oliver and Mayme (Shaw) DeFoy.  She married Helge Lund on September 9th, 1950 in Chicago, Illinois.  Betty worked in the Chicago office of the Chicago and Northwestern Railroad for 41 years, retiring on January 15, 1986. She moved to Wisconsin on February 19, 1986.  Betty Was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Neenah Valley Memorial Post #6003, V.F.W Oxford, Wisconsin for 37 years.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Helge on March 30, 2005; her parents; brother, Edgar DeFoy; sisters: Isabel Burnett and Jane Johnson; sister-in-law, Asta Miller; and good neighbor, Everett Johnson.

Betty is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other relatives, and wonderful neighbors Florence Johnson and her two sons: Dale and Kenneth. 

Betty wanted to give a  special thank you to her neighbors, the  Johnson Family,  who helped her stay in her own home until just recently.
