Track & Field Results

Mauston boys won 2024 SCC Conference meet.  Eli Hallwood broke a 40 year old conference championship record in the pole vault with a vault of 14-1.

The Mauston girls finished in 4th place.

New Lisbon Track & Field Top Finishers at SBC Championship Meet

The New Lisbon Track and Field team competed Tuesday at the Scenic Bluffs conference meet at Royal.  The boys team finished 3rd and the girls team finished 4th.  New Lisbon’s Conference Champions were

 Blake Smith in the Shot Put

Jake Cox in the long jump

The 4 x 200 relay team of Jake Cox, Jamesen Pfaff, Jude Keltner, and Carson Welter

And Heidi Mathes in the long jump.

Finishing in the top three and earning medals also were

Chloe Pfaff, Claire Haske, Heidi Mathes, and Alivia Bailey with a second place finish in the 4 x 400 relay

Jameson Barker with a second place finish in 110 hurdles

Blake Smith with a third place finish in the Discus

Tre Bailey with a third place finish in the Shot Put

and Eliza Curtis, Claire Haske, Alivia Bailey, and Klarissa Earhart in the 4 x 800 relay.

 

 Next up is the regional meet in Cashton on Monday for the Rockets.

Mauston Baseball Clinches 2nd Straight SCC Championship With Win over Rival Dells

The Mauston Golden Eagles Baseball Team won a 2nd straight South Central Conference Championship behind great pitching and timely hitting Tuesday evening with a 7-0 victory over the Dells.  Brock Massey pitched a complete game scattering 4 hits walking 2 while striking out 6.  Brock Massey also went 2×4 with 2 RBI’s at the plate.  Brock’s brother “Beef” Massey gave Mauston their first run of the game with a two out two strike hit.  Beef finished 2×3 with a pair of runs batted in.  Brady Baldwin ignited the Mauston offense going 2×2 with a triple and 3 runs scored and Alex Suhr added a pair of hits in 3 at bats including a booming double.  Suhr was able to score all the way from 2nd base after a Dells wild pitch following the double.  Mauston improves to 8-1 in the conference and 15-3 overall.  Mauston can clinch an outright Conference championship with a victory over Adams-Friendship on Thursday.  Wisconsin Dells drops to 7-2 in the conference and 9-5 overall.

Panthers Steam Roll Hillsboro in SBC Baseball

The Royall Panthers made quick work of the Hillsboro Tigers 13-0 Monday evening.  Eleven different hitters had a base hit in the victory for the Panthers.  Trey Wildes led the charge going 3×3 with 3 doubles, while his brother Tucker Wildes went 2×4 with a triple and an 3RBIs, and his other brother Tyrus went 2×4 with 4RBI’s.  Jason Johnson also notched his first hit and RBI in a varsity uniform for the Panthers.  Seth Brandau picked up the win going 5 shutout innings giving up just 3 hits walking 1 and striking out 6.  The Panthers improved to 15-3 on their season and finish the conference season with a 12-2 mark.  Hillsboro’s Talan Hildreth went 1×2 with a walk for the Tigers.
